Re: Church of the Resurrection Downtown Campus

The thing that troubles me about the existence of this church - not the building - is that Grand Avenue Temple, also UMC, is less than a mile away and, if I'm not mistaken, has been struggling financially for decades.

Re: Rag Headquarters

Don't know where to post this, so this is it. Congratulations to the Ragger whose face graces the current issue of the Rolling, oh, I mean the KCBJ, and who is featured in a profile therein. Very cool. From what I observe from afar, you deserve it.

Re: UMKC Conservatory of Music considers move to downtown

Maybe I've missed the answer, maybe I've even asked the question but why isn't the empty block where the ballet school was to go being talked about? Not just here but anywhere? That seems to me like the ideal place.

When the church gets in bed with politics, someone is going to get screwed. It's always going to be the church. (Waiting to see the offspring of the current spiritual adultery.)

Re: 3rd & Grand to be redeveloped as TOD

From KCBJ, 5/16: New York-based commercial real estate firm Somera Road Inc. acquired the four-story, 94,846-square-foot building in 2016 and rebranded it as 3Y. It also made extensive improvements aimed at refilling the former Populous headquarters. Sandbox, which took over the second and third flo...

Re: UMKC Conservatory of Music considers move to downtown

Another location factor: all the downtown campus students will have to take classes at the main campus. With that in mind, south Crossroads would be more convenient than BAP.
