Re: OFFICIAL - 21c Museum Hotel KC (former Savoy Hotel)

The food at the Savoy is some of the best in town. When I dine in the bar, and that's the only place I've dined there, they usually give me the bar menu but they will serve you anything off the regular menu.

Our east village is on the edge and doesn't lead anywhere.
Huh? It's between the Crossroads and Columbus Park, the CBD and the Zone of Compassion.

I love Ye Olde Northtowne! They have some great shoppes there, but it's a scary place for a gal in heels with so many homeless about.

Re: Phase 2 streetcar to UMKC

Adverse possession has a long and controversial history in the courts. However, there has never been a case where adverse possession was granted for public land. It is one of the universally accepted exclusions. Filing this claim, as an attorney, is preposterous and she should face steep court costs...

Re: New York Life Building and its Interior

Thanks! I love that pigeons are nesting underneath the eagle. And that bank architecture at the end of the 19th century mimicked church architecture. And the NY Life Bldg is now the Catholic Center. And there must be a metaphor there somewhere.

Re: OFFICIAL - Boulevard Lofts (8th & Washington)

Affordable? Obviously. Lofts? Nope. Cool? I would beg to differ. If the CP Lofts project is any indication of how this project will go (Prairie Fire did that one, too), they won't be "lofts", they will be poorly built and poorly executed apartments and poorly managed. The developers sold that concep...

Hey folks, these lofts are now for sale as condos. 2 are sold (one to me) and there are 6 remaining. I hope a few will go under contract to current tenants, but the website will stay updated. Please spread the word or, better yet, come buy one. Thanks!

Re: Parlor - 1707 Locust

I'm skeptical. I have an irrational love of sliders, and I don't really think there's any need for them to be "gourmet-ified". I would take a cozy burger with American cheese for a buck every time over something with gruyere and fried onion straws or whatever at over three times the price. In most ...
