Re: Columbus Park Redevelopment

They seem to be confused as to the location. River Market is 2 blocks west of Holmes.

Re: Why Can't the West Bottoms Be Redeveloped....?

why does there need to be a levy trail along the MO River when there's a trail under a block away already? As far as I can tell, the heritage trail already connects all the way across the Kansas River and has been for years look, I'm relatively happy with the riverfront heritage trail, and I'm happ...

Re: OFFICIAL - New Downtown YMCA (former Lyric Theater)

I was in Toronto a few years ago and almost every old building that is the site of new taller construction has the old facade saved and restored and incorporated into the design. I like it, at least compared to the alternative.

Re: Big Fur KC premiere

My daughter would love it - will you guys be doing any meet and greet? Thanks everyone! Yes, Ken Walker, the star/subject of the movie, will be there and we'll be doing a Q&A afterwards. Oh, and Patty will be there, too. She's Ken's Bigfoot re-creation. She'd love to have her photo taken with you!

Big Fur KC premiere

I realize this is shameless self-promotion, but thought some raggers might be interested. And, for a couple hours, it will be part of the Kansas City Scene. Well OK, North Kansas City. After 6 years, my feature documentary is finished and will play at Screenland Armour on Sunday, May 5th at 5:30. “B...

Re: Wonderful Waldo

I'm not sure father is the right relationship. I believe there are either brothers or cousins or something. And I'm not sure they are in business together, though they both do real estate. And I think Nicholas owns the building at 10th and Oak, which has lingered in an incomplete state for at least ...

I love that guy. He makes me feel like I do things quickly. Kinda of like when I'm feeling old, I go to Knuckleheads.

I recall when the developers changed 911 Walnut to 909 Walnut. Imagine the atrocities they were able to avoid.

Rental activity is busier than I've seen it in the 15 years since I started. I wonder, are people ready to start buying again?

Re: Misc Crossroads News

I went in City Barrel on 1st Friday and luckily scored 2 seats at the bar. The place was packed. The bartender did a great job and our food came out quickly. The pork chop was indeed excellent. The beer was very good, too, although the names are ridiculous. I was blown away at how smoothly things we...

Re: Misc Crossroads News

I spoke to the chef before they opened and he said the pork chop was the menu item he was most excited about. I'm intrigued. To me, a pork chop is the least exciting item on a menu (maybe after a turkey burger). I feel just about anything on a restaurant menu is more appealing than the pork chop of...
