Re: Sprint sale rumors again

Better buy it now before interest rates go up. And save a little money to enlarge the tiny walk-ins and replace the astroturf.
All this time, I've wondered why they routinely tack on unrelated charges to my bill and change my plan for no reason.

Re: Whole Foods mixed-use project @ 51/Oak

I thought Taxi was talking about the building? I was/am. Not confirmed, just something I heard from a semi-reliable source, and 3rd hand. A few inches, leading to cracked concrete and sheetrock and shelving issues. I know it's lame to spread rumors, and I don't know if it's a rumor any more than I ...

Yes, I realized that after I posted. I think I forget since it seems unbelievable that it is still the case.

I think I would deliberately leave town every election.
Or have plans to be out of town. How could you know that those plans would change?
Voter fraud!

Re: Open Spaces - Kansas City Arts Experience

Went to Hye Dyve last night - the projections on the walls and audio weren't working and the older gentleman who was supervising the venue was clueless on how to get it back up. He actually thought that by letting the 10 minute loop run through several times it would correct itself :( That's too ba...

Re: wtf is happening to w. 39th?!

Black Sheep is now open in the old Cafe Allegro/Thomas/Aep place. The restaurant opened today and they also have a market in there in the space to the west that has ben open for a couple weeks and sells local produce, Ibis bread and other foodstuffs, I believe all from their suppliers for the restau...

^This is true, but every time I travel I'm reminded of how spoiled we are here in KC. Waiting in lines is so commonplace in most other cities.

Re: Downtown Buildings with Activity

How about mandatory jail time for owners who buy perfectly good buildings and slowly let them deteriorate, neglecting them while simultaneously refusing to sell. I can hit 3 or 4 of these from my door with a golf ball, and I'm a shitty golfer. I could also find buyers for each of these, without any ...

Re: Downtown Buildings with Activity

That building, along with the cool 2 story historic Sanderson's Diner around the corner and the White Castle across the street, sold at auction several years ago to a cat named Monte. He is from Nebraska and wants to use real estate to enlarge the kingdom of God. I suppose he thinks God lives in Neb...
