Re: OFFICIAL: Port Authority Riverfront Project

Take a look at what they did in Columbus park with the "CP Lofts" and picture that down there. I wonder what the lifespan of those buildings are. I'd wager not more than 20 years. Future Motel 6 or Rodeway Inn I would bet a minimum of 50-75 years with regular investment. The two hotels at Paseo/Ind...

I would probably prefer to share the road with professional and definitely insured bus drivers than random citizens who may or may not be drunk, insured, high, texting, etc.

Re: Bike Lanes

I don't understand how they come up with some of the bike routes. There are tons of streets, most of them in fact, in NKC that have almost no traffic and they put the bike route on Swift, which has angled parking. Going out on a limb, it is possibly the most dangerous road to bike on, besides parts ...

Is NKC going to connect Armour Bike Lanes underneath I-35 to the new development on the east side of I-35 (which contains a cycle track btw)?
I didn't know about the cycle track, but I've ridden over there and it is very dangerous.

Re: Crown Center: urban disaster, shining star, or in-between

Where is the crown in Crown Center? There used to be crowns at Christmas in downtown, Puerto Vallarta Mexico has a cathedral with Carlota's crown on top. But nary a single crown at Crown Center. The closest in time and space was when Queen Marie of Romania came to the Liberty Memorial dedication. C...

When traveling, I play this on my laptop/tablet overnight in hotel but can work at home too. The bigger the speakers the better so not very effective with phone... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wzjWIxXBs_s That sounds like the soundtrack to half the scary movies I've seen this year. The booths are nice and the bar area has a great vibe. The food is some of the best in KC. I think it was wise to convert the dining room into gallery space.

Re: Downtown KC has become Digital Nomad friendly

There are a lot of hobos downtown lately, but without jobs. More than I've ever seen in KC. They all have digital needs, some very similar to yours.

I had no idea that digital nomads were a thang. Is there any estimate as to how many digital nomads there are in downtown KC on any given day?
