Re: Troost developments

It looks like the existing house is being used as a B&B, so I'm guessing these new units would have the same use.

Re: Troost developments

That is on the 44th St side. This is on the corner, so it faces Troost as well.

There is a separate parcel to the north owned by the same person that is only on Troost. That is where the building was demoed and where the new garage/coach house will be going.

Re: Troost developments

Any interesting project with 6 apartment units has shown up in the Development Tracker off the NW corner of 44th and Troost, going behind the house that is there now. It looks like what is now a large garage is going to be expanded to a 3 story building with 5 units and a new garage with 1 more unit...

There appears to be a new commercial building in the works replacing the Waldo Antiques building on 75th St. It seems like an odd design: http://www.botwinrealestate.com/leasing/#/226-w-75th-st/ https://static1.squarespace.com/static/57d71d18f7e0abcfd8fec609/59f0bae67131a555e4468665/59f0bf83be42d6d7...

That master plan seems out of date. Remember the updated plan that was passed around a few years ago? http://www.goodyclancy.com/projects/crown-center-completion-plan/ Can't wait for them develop the rest of their land, especially if it stays close to the visioning images from the plan above. This ...

The whole thing just needs to be razed and redeveloped.

Wasn't there talk a while back about apartments going on the west end of the "shoppes"? I'm guessing that's dead.

Re: Phase Three Streetcar Expansion

Extending through Waldo no the CCROW (and then maybe down to Three Trails/Cerner) might be the most useful extension, but I think there is still too much neighborhood opposition, so it didn't get might vote. Independence Ave would be a good extension, but I voted for Linwood to Michigan (somewhat se...

I tweeted your pic. Hope you don't mind! Yeah, no problem! :D How many parcels will be left in or near the plaza once all of the proposed buildings are built? Well two of the big, prominent development sites are the former Colonial Courts site and the former Nelle Peters Apartments site. I believe ...

Photo update on The Tudors Townhomes - one of the buildings is rising up. I think there will be 3 more like this. They are rather large structures for townhomes: https://image.ibb.co/bZetv6/20171114_132335.jpg https://image.ibb.co/jGqNoR/20171114_132408.jpg https://image.ibb.co/mJWTTR/20171114_13251...

Sign not new. I know there were signs up in the past, but I believe the one up right now on the west side is a new one. Edit: Yep, just looked at the old sign on Google streetview from March 2017 and the one I saw today was different (and I think a very recent addition). I remember the new one had ...

It looks like there is a new sign up from the leasing company on the 31 Levy/Velvet Freeze building. I'm not sure if they are waiting to sign retail tenants before ground breaking, but it does look like this project is still in the works and not dead as has been suggested.

Ruby Jean's Juicery on Troost opened this Saturday. I went and checked it out today. This is going to be a great addition to Troost. Re: World Cup 2026 at Arrowhead?

I have seen the impact for Brazil estimates anywhere from $3B-$30B. Brazil did build many new stadiums and probably other infrastructure. I think that higher number includes a lot of the construction work. However, in 2026, the field will be expanded with more teams and more games, the impact could ...

Re: World Cup 2026 at Arrowhead?

Orlando does not draw even close to double what KC does. Atlanta and Seattle have much larger stadiums. KC sells out the stadium every week and averages over capacity. If we don't get the World Cup, it will have nothing to do with MLS attendance. In fact, our level of MLS support is probably one of ...
