PNC Park faces south. It is definitely not the preferred orientation, but clearly, some exceptions are made.

Does the east side of Campbell get to vote, or only the west side of the block? I am on the east and never received my ballot. I have heard the same from others on Campbell.

I think there is zero chance it makes it to the tax auction. All the current owner has to do is pay of a portion of the tax debt or set up a payment plan. I doubt they will lose the property.

Re: Renovations of apartment buildings along Armour Blvd.

I haven't heard anything or seen anything to indicate that would be the case with the Bainbridge (and with how hot a topic the Bainbridge is in the neighborhood, I would be surprised if that happened without much hoopla). I did happen to recently notice a "for lease" sign on the building t...

Re: OFFICIAL - Hyatt Regency Convention Hotel

Where was the Plaza site they proposed? The Plaza doesn't have many lots left to develop with recent announcements, if any large enough unless tearing something down. The Hyatt proposal on the Plaza was where the office tower is now slated to go on Pennsylvania. The vacant lot to the east of that s...

Re: KC metro growth and migration stats

The estimate for the KC Metro population growth rate for last year was 1%. At that rate, it will take about 29 years to reach Denver's current population of 2.8M and about 60 years to reach Seattle at 3.8M. However, that doesn't figure in Lawrence and St. Joe being added to KC's MSA, which will prob...

Re: Three Light

I was told by one of the contractors on 2 Light they would start 3 Light after 2 Light is topped out, at which time the crane will be moved to the other lot. Interior work will continue on 2 Light while they start 3 Light. That approach would make a lot of sense and it's what I would hope to see. H...

The Plaza is official dead! There is literally no difference between the Plaza and an I-70 truck stop in central Mis...

I think they are actually using statistics from the neighborhood to the southwest of Independence and Prospect. The population is quite small so the total amount of crime isn't the highest, but per capita, it looks bad.

DST is adding 415 jobs: http://www.bizjournals.com/kansascity/news/2017/05/30/dst-alps-argus-employment-expansions.html I don't see a mention of where those jobs will be located, but I am assuming these will be going in existing DST buildings. That should help improve vacancy a bit.

Milhaus/UC-B are seeking an abatement for the project at 27th and Troost (although the article doesn't seem to say how much): http://www.bizjournals.com/kansascity/news/2017/05/25/27-troost-milhaus-development-abatement-request.html 182 apartment units plus 12,000 sq ft retail. Re: The Gallerie - 27th & Gillham Apartments and Condos

The two blocks to the south are both owned by Hallmark, but I believe the developers of this project have an option to buy it I really hope UCB/Milhaus exercise that option quickly. Hallmark owns all of the vacant lots around here - the parking lots to the west and northwest, the grass lots further...

Here are some elevations from the most recent plan. The residential section from Pennsylvania: http://i66.tinypic.com/30nhg1e.jpg I have a feeling that is not exactly to scale. It seems like it should be taller in comparison to the Manor Square building. I think they did this on purpose to assuage t...

I noticed some construction fencing around a portion of the lot in front of Lulu's. Anyone know what's going on there? Is it related to the hotel going in across the street?
