All the non-progressives (Nigro, DeJanes, Cashill, etc) are supporting Lucas because they think he is malleable and can be swayed to their point of view.

They are probably correct, which is a great reason to vote for Justus.

Re: Streetcar to the riverfront

doesn't streetcar to the riverfront fix that? less parking needed right next to it. can park along streetcar line wherever and get dropped off as close or closer to the festival than the parking spot would have been. plus people that live there can hop on the streetcar to get out to grocery store or...

i was there too! looked at the new place's menu but knew the whole time i was just going to get karbon so immediately forgot what i read. the logo/design language of the new place strongly reminded me of what gets churned out for that food truck race thing on food network, so i guess that's nice and...

Re: Bird Scooters Have Landed

i told you it was a hazy recollection! did a quick google, found a 11/28/18 star article that said it was a shields proposal that lucas/canady/loar voted for and wagner/fowler voted against. i would link to it, but it's the star and i don't like giving them clicks.

It's astounding to me that St. Louis City has not stemmed its' population loss. I would think by now that it would be adding people again--albeit slowly.
the lesson here of course is that no municipality can afford not to heavily subsidize sport team stadium demands. /s

Re: Bird Scooters Have Landed

is my generally hazy recollection correct that lime pulled out never to be heard from again not long after lucas/the council pushed for all the scooter $ to go into affordable housing instead of bike/micro-mobile infrastructure, and if so, is that timing just a silly coincidence?
