Re: Power and Light District Official Tenant List

saw a couple laser levels scoping out the former saucer patio area this week with apparent reference to the southern most window cutouts. guessing the new tenant is at least considering activating some outdoor space, which would be awesome.

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium

The folks saying this is "vapor" or the Royals are holding back info or they don't even own the land aren't thinking this through. They are not going to make those major investments and spend big dollars to do all that without some kind of assurance this is going to work for them. They ar...

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium

Right now it's vapor. They don't even own the land. Come out and say this is our plan and this is how we are financing it. They keep just making up numbers. Well if that's how we are judging if things are vapor, I guess the entire idea of a new stadium is vapor. This location, Kansas, NKC... all va...

Re: Misc Crossroads News

belfry's downstairs seating area is all built out but not running yet. seems like it would seat 20-30 ish at most. menu details tbd (at least as far as i know) but likely separate/ upscale from belfry's base menu. bar will definitely prominently feature chef tio's new spirits line, which i separatel...

Re: OFFICIAL: Power & Light District

the naming decision at ice house has always been a little weird. it made more sense when they first opened as they had many more non bbq options (multiple taco offerings using smoked meats, mexican adjacent sides, etc). the pitch when they opened was more "joe's plus" than "joe's dow...

Re: OFFICIAL: Power & Light District

Still my favorite all time P&L tenant. IN MY OPINION: I really wonder what would have happened had its legs not been cut. Lots of places start strong but then taper off. It was good though! I'm glad BRGR is there, and I like it but it's not quite as good. Still wonder why we don't have a pizza ...

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium

to the extent the organization has lost the race to public opinion to a bunch of loud people on the internet, i'm not going to blame the loud people on the internet for it. this was always the downside risk of fumbling the rollout. i suspect pretty much everyone here would agree the rollout has been...

Re: Amenities missing from downtown

when the royals evict royal master cleaners we'll be missing one of those. i used one of those delivery services when we first moved here and it absolutely sucked shit, so not sure what i'm going to do about this. hopefully abbott (or someone) successfully relocates them nearby.

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium

This attitude is going to make me fight the tax. I'd rather the royals move to Nashville than close oak. Are you a Jackson County resident? I'm literally on those blocks every day. I'm not giving out any personal info. can confirm, met this guy at the bar at charisse some years ago. have also seen ...

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium

that enormous park cap extension is the only thing i like about this and i will assume that part of it is vaporware until i physically see it. but if they think it's really happening then the park cap really shouldn't close walnut to street traffic. no north/south from main to locust is going to be ...

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium

But at the same time, I question if much of anything will be built near the stadium in EV. I question if any decent improvements are made to the east loop of the highway to make it more pedestrian friendly and less of an eyesore, I feel like paseo west would become parking lots and the stadium will...
