Re: Streetcar to the riverfront

"old" people with law degrees determine lots of plans for the city. i think dejanes got hers within a couple years of sly. is the issue that she's a lady? [taking a moment to acknowledge that if it weren't for the entire rest of my posting corpus this would be one hell of a post for making people th...

Re: Westport

similar grates downtown are prime faceplant spots even for those of us non-women who graduated from jordans to goodyear welted varietals upon being confronted with the absence of any athletic talent at some point immediately following high school. but i agree. i've spent most of my patio/pedestrian ...

Re: Papa Keno's Pizza

their new little placards at the table say "free wifi." if true, this is now arguably the best place to split a pitcher and crank out some work within a five block walk of the streetcar (but i am very open to suggestions to the contrary!)

Re: Dog friendly patios and places

loop ice house : dogs on both patios (facing live district is concrete with picnic tables; facing 14th is turfed with adirondack chairs), have water bowls etc., very accommodating. top tier dog friendliness zoo bar appears to allow dogs. top tier thematically consistent river market il lazzarone : ...

presumably there is value in progressing through council approval when it comes to securing tenants in advance.

Re: Westport

johnny kaws says they're opening four new locations in westport over the next several months. i have not been to johnny kaws and am too lazy to google which addresses these are. with names like shot stop and bomb bar, i will probably abstain.

Re: OFFICIAL - 909 Walnut

well, don't really care about that. i assume they will be bringing big buck hunter, as it must be their chief asset. wonder if they're going into the old tanners spot or somewhere else. this building seems a bit of a dumpster fire.

Re: Are downtown apartment occupancy rapidly trending down?

well right, sure. i guess i was more curious whether selling is always more desirable than renting. i guess if you control the asking price and can influence the HOA assessments there's no reason it can't be.

forgot about that, that's disgusting. the self-pour shops i've been to in other cities encouraged the use of fresh glasses for each pour.

Re: Are downtown apartment occupancy rapidly trending down?

i've heard a lot (comparatively, which is to say a non-zero amount) about expiring low-income options. i wonder if any of those will be ripe for condo conversions if the credits that create the incentive to be a low-income option expire or fade away? i suppose it would also be interesting if somethi...

Re: OFFICIAL - The Grand (former Traders on Grand)

agreed in that i don't like that layout (can't think of any 2br's with the living room sandwiched between the two bedrooms that i do like), but for better or worse that looks to be about the going rate for a smallish 2br in the CBD. i'm not particularly enamored with the 1L or 2L 2br layouts, either...
