Re: Are downtown apartment occupancy rapidly trending down?

i've heard a lot (comparatively, which is to say a non-zero amount) about expiring low-income options. i wonder if any of those will be ripe for condo conversions if the credits that create the incentive to be a low-income option expire or fade away? i suppose it would also be interesting if somethi...

Re: OFFICIAL - The Grand (former Traders on Grand)

agreed in that i don't like that layout (can't think of any 2br's with the living room sandwiched between the two bedrooms that i do like), but for better or worse that looks to be about the going rate for a smallish 2br in the CBD. i'm not particularly enamored with the 1L or 2L 2br layouts, either...

oh man i'm sorry. i just now saw my post again. i meant to say paleo but was having a hard time remembering the difference between keto or paleo and i guess i split the middle. for some extra color, albeit solely earth tones, i believe the person that gave me this information also mentioned quinoa.

Re: OFFICIAL - The Grand (former Traders on Grand)

went here for downtown dazzle this weekend. i like the way they got some natural light down into the lower level club lounge area. the views on the pool deck are good but i do question the value of putting such a small 4' pool up there, especially in a spot that looks like the pool itself is shaded ...

Re: OFFICIAL - East9 (former Pickwick Plaza)

went here for the downtown dazzle thing and point blank asked what was going on with cellar rat; they said cellar rat changed course on doing this and passed the project over to some entity that's going to do a kaleo/health/whatever concept, but that cellar rat would be providing the wine for that c...

Re: Misc Crossroads News

I disagree - it's great to try a dozen beers without having to keep asking a server for tasters. And to be able to have six half-glasses instead of three full glasses. Food and service consistently sucked and the atmosphere was too sterile to be comfortable. That said, we went several times when it...

lol i know your reddit username now. but agreed. self-serve gimmick was fun for a minute, but no substance behind the gimmick. there are an awful lot of places within a five minute walk that i would rather be, so never ended up there, even if it was "fine."

Re: Bird Scooters Have Landed

Bird had its first coordinated hoarder takedown in KC with KCKPD's help retrieving 58 scooters from inside an apartment building. Still quite a few smaller hoards located throughout the city, so hopefully they will be taken care of soon. i would like to subscribe to this a&e television show effecti...

Re: Jenkin's Building to be CONDOS!

NB walnut between 12th and 13th (well, from 13th to the town pavilion garage entrance) has been blocked off for a cherry picker crane in front of jenkins. i walk this area a few times a day and haven't seen the crane in use, until today when the crane was extended up to the top floor near one of the...

Re: KCI Flight Schedule Adjustments

So British Airways decides to add a new US Market but this time its x2 weekly summer service to Charleston South Carolina - Kind of a slap in the face to KC and St Louis if you ask me - This route makes no sense unless its some kind of Business deal made out with a company in Charleston I wish Brit...

pretty big crowd at lunch today. a number of the places upstairs were out of multiple menu items. agree that prices are $1-3 higher than i'd put them at in a vacuum, but it's a different business model than the usual restaurant and it seems fair to me. i wonder if the individual kitchens get any ben...
