that's the old popeyes building, right? gotta try that. guessing the reason it's popping up there is that multiple popeyes locations on the MO side went vacant at the same time so the opportunity was right. can't think of any similarly turnkey opportunities to do the same in crossroads or river mark...

not crossroads and not Q1 of 2018, but houndstooth expanded into the basement in the river market with a denim concept. looks like he's doing well there, which makes me very happy.

i walk past old zaina 2-4x a day at all hours and haven't seen any sign of life since about the four month mark following the announcement. no lights on, no people walking by, no changes visible through the torn signs — nothing. i don't think it's ever going to open as a picklemans. i just don't und...

I oppose building rail transit in all of suburban Kansas City (excluding NKC). Until they are interested in dense land use, it's all the expense, none of the benefits. this seems right to me but i'm a feckless holder of transit opinions that doesn't put much thought into it other than reading this ...

unit 604 at 909 walnut is listed as for sale on zillow. it's a 1 bedroom on one of the floors that has a balcony. my guess is that it's on the east side of the building (not the side facing walnut), but i could be wrong. $199k -- no mention of HOA fees (which i am sure are substantial): https://www....
