Maybe this will start a new trend in getting foreign owned companies with Regional offices in Suburban KC to start moving downtown, it could be a good marketing plan for KC.
National Firms like Apple, Microsoft, Piper Jaffrey, etc would also be good candidates to move downtown from the suburbs.

Re: City Center Square for sale

Yes, I can quash the Target in CCS rumor. I've spoken with someone connected with the redevelopment and it is planned to be a food hall concept. Escalators are going away and some type of stadium seating staircase (think Populous office in renovated Board of Trade) was described. Sounds like this w...

Re: KC metro growth and migration stats

KC is a rare city to have so many single suburbs of over 100k. Even though StL City is still the largest city, it's dwarfed by suburban StL County however, there is a solid chance they merge and StL will become one of the largest cities in the country (and KCMO will become by far the most dangerous...

I love the ads that Market Station put up on hw 2nd & Delaware Construction fence.

On another note... Are there any plans to reconnect 2nd Street?

**pretends to be shocked** The Star has an editorial deriding anymore hotels receiving incentives in the core. https://www.kansascity.com/opinion/editorials/article229459769.html I'm sure they feel the same way about Lenexa or Lee's Summit subsidizing hotels... The most bizarre point is at the end ...

In some ways, I’m confused why Copaken doesn’t just build out 1034 Main. They already have a garage and foundations there. Plus, they would be able to put in bigger, more attractive/usable floorplates.

Re: The Future of Crown Center

Not sure how recent of a development this is. However, Delta puts their pilots up at the Westin Crown Center now.

Not really notable other than most airlines here put their pilots up near the airport. Using downtown hotels for flight crews is more of a bit city thing.

That grinders lot has been blocked off for months hasn't it? Or is this a new type of blocking?

Both of those companies would be obvious tenants for that new building being proposed at Third Street and Grand in the River Market. Both firms are taking temporary space. Cliff is the most likely figure to change our university problem. He’s dedicated to the community, has the resources, and now has time.
