^ Sacramento included runway development. That’s a big cost.
All I can find is taxi way and apron development. Which appears to be minimal in comparison to what we are doing.

Indy looks a lot like a mall

Re: We need a new airport!!!

San Jose, Sacramento, Indy, Portland. Sacramento opened in 2011 at a cost of $1billion for 740k sqft. Most purchasing happened between 2008-2010. (We will use 2009). It appears a lot of our purchasing will happen at least next year. So in 2019 dollars, Sacramento’s Terminal was $1.21 Billion for a ...

Re: We need a new airport!!!

Almost impossible to tell from these poor initial renderings, but where is the awesome scallop-roof design from the preliminary images? I loved that element, and if we get a generic flat box I'll be very disappointed. I understand perhaps losing the two-story indoor fountain, but first impression i...

Re: We need a new airport!!!

The whole purpose of renderings like this are to give an idea of massing and flow. I am 100% confident the construction firm building this, Clark, which is much larger than Burns and Mac, has both has a better handle of how much stuff costs and has more leverage in material pricing. Burns&Macs and A...

Re: Bird Scooters Have Landed

I didn't have any real beef with the scooter riders until today when I was driving back to work from getting my hair cut. I really think they need to be banned on Main from 12th to 20th. The traffic lanes are just too narrow to be able to get around them safely and the streetcar tracks are a scoote...

Re: Bird Scooters Have Landed

Used the scooters a few times last week. Since I never bike downtown this was really my first time being in the street and bike lanes. We need more bike lanes! While I have almost been hit by scooters twice so far as a pedestrian, I am not 100% convinced that the scooters should be forced into the s...

Re: Drury Plaza Hotel

I would maybe be persuaded to accept this general design if it was maybe 4 times as tall and came with no garage.

This site had been included in copakens most recent rendering right? I'd rather see it turned into something like Copaken had been presenting

Re: Drury Plaza Hotel

Looks like a 10-story project. If they smartened up the exterior a bit from this rendering (a little more modern and urban please) I don't hate it. Is the parking garage under the building or adjacent? Hard to tell. For that prime lot, a 2-story parking garage is on par with as bad as a 4 story hot...

Re: KCI Flight Schedule Adjustments

Aer Lingus is planning big US expansions. Have hear Pitt is being considered. The same Pitt that now has BA, WOW, Delta, and Condor TATL Service. And Twice yearly charters to China(a waste of incentive funds imho). Haven’t heard anything about KC :( STL boards seem to think that they could be in the...

Re: Capping the Loop

Omitting the Baltimore/Wyandotte block might mean the remaining 3 blocks would not require expensive exhaust systems? Also that block along with the adjoining 2 empty bldngs on 14th might be the site for a smaller exhibition hall linked with the total convention complex. I hadn't thought that the 4...

Re: Drury Plaza Hotel

Booo. The court yard Marriott hotel is about the same size room wise(correct me If I'm wrong), denser, had no TIF or other incentives, and was built years ago when the market was even riskier. There is no reason why this project should be given incentives at this low of density. Now this Drury in is...

Re: KCI Flight Schedule Adjustments

Also, noticed Icelandair opened their schedule for part of summer next year. Looks like flights return at basically the same time as this year. 3x a week starting May 25. Correct, the airline agreed to service the route for two years with the incentive agreement in place. If it extends beyond seaso...

Re: KCI Flight Schedule Adjustments

^that is a disapointment. However, I would expect them to announce a service increase before posting the website so not all is lost. Really the most important thing now is how well we sell from Mid-August till the end of season. That is what I think Icelandair is looking as they think about year rou...

Re: Plaza move-ins (ongoing)

My take away: the Plaza was once a thriving neighborhood. Then the plaza became a thriving luxury mall. Now the plaza has become degraded and is good at a lot but a master of none. To survive, they must either return to being a neighborhood or try to become very luxurious in an area that probably ca...

I'm not a fan of pedestrian bridges. Want to go to the other building? Walk across the street. I see no problem with a pedestrian bridge here. Want to go to the deep pool(you get the idea), why would you walk across the street? It’s make literally no sense to have shared amenities and make people l...
