The next best bet after umkc is a regional plan. It's not a very good bet.
From what I’ve heard, it’s not going to be anything overly impressive

Re: Phase 2 streetcar to UMKC

Okay i've had it. the extension is just flat a bad idea based on the success of a good idea and what better way to ruin both then throwing money at a low density, sketchy concept that doesnt intersect anything useful. Who is going to use it? Not plaza patrons. UM CK will take uber to CBD amenities ...

Re: KCI Flight Schedule Adjustments

I still think the best tatl for KC would be Ireland or London. Those would be two of the worst IMO. I’d prefer a continental location with lots of rail connections as well as air connections to the Middle East, Africa, etc. Amsterdam would be my first preferrance. London isn’t the best in terms of ...

Re: KCI Flight Schedule Adjustments

So British Airways decides to add a new US Market but this time its x2 weekly summer service to Charleston South Carolina - Kind of a slap in the face to KC and St Louis if you ask me - This route makes no sense unless its some kind of Business deal made out with a company in Charleston I wish Brit...

Re: Hyperloop between KC and STL

I'm onboard for anything that can take me between KC and StL in 30 minutes for less than the cost of driving. I'd go twice a year just to walk around looking at old buildings. 8) There is sort of. It has 6 wheels and 2 wings. It has a flight time of 30 minutes. Now if you use the IRS cost per mile,...

Jon Stephens is the new PortKC President/CEO: https://portkc.com/port-kc-announces-new-president-ceo/ dude gets around Said dude mentions the Riverfront as a potential KC Terminal. What I find more interesting is his mention of commuter Rail to the Riverfront. https://twitter.com/rockhillstrat/stat...

Wow cancelled STL permanently. I’ll be curious to see if a bunch more markets get cut now.
I really wonder how close to collapse WOW is.

Re: We need a new airport!!!

Did anybody go to any of the open houses? What a waste of time and effort on the part of Edgemoor. Didn't provide a lick of value if you ask me.... It was basically "here is stuff you could find on the website" The first public sessions where you could vote on stuff and give meaningful feedback was...

Re: KCI Flight Schedule Adjustments

It seems BA won’t be coming to STL next year as had been widely rumored. WOW will be permanently ending service to STL starting on January 7. Per OAG report today. Before the OAG report, WOW STL fare prices had spiked to $1200 which is typical of an airline that is planning on suspending services. ...

Does anyone have more information on him? The website makes him sound like a meh candidate who won't support downtown.
Would it be possible for Matt Staub to run for this position?

Re: KCI Flight Schedule Adjustments

Southwest extended their schedule today for April/May Pensacola is back Saturday only Portland is cut (says seasonal) I agree - hearsay crap or "sources" if not documented are just that.. crap. I could say that we are getting Global Airline 123 to Tim Buck Two - but it doesn't matter unless there i...

Re: We need a new airport!!!

What are you talking about? They posted an update this week https://www.kci-edgemoor.com/news/ The slowdown is because the next steps are waiting on FAA approval. They're saying the first major work could begin within two months. That hasn't slipped, the schedule from two months ago was the same. T...

Re: KCI Flight Schedule Adjustments

is it possible to hook us up with some links or something behind posts like "safe to say that BA wont' be coming to STL next year"? not that i really care about STL flight patterns specifically but a lot of posts in this thread with innuendo that are hard to figure out if they are fact or speculati...

Re: KCI Flight Schedule Adjustments

It seems BA won’t be coming to STL next year as had been widely rumored. In other news... It seems like there is always a new airline at the overhaul base. Kenya Air and El Al are the latest to get work done there. They join Hawaiian and AeroMexico on the southern ramp. IIRC, they are mostly leased ...

Re: 2019 Mayor/Council Elections

Who is the candidate that will be most likely to continue our resurgence DT? Jolie. No doubt. The only knock for me on her is the airport developer choice, but she seems good. I liked Lucas too but he seems to be turning anti-DT development. Canady is whip smart. It’s probably a three person race. ...

Austin is getting non stop to Frankfurt via Lufthansa.
