I didn't count them but there were at least 20.

Seems like a good place for some food trucks that can move when it's icy.

Re: The Gallerie - 27th & Gillham Apartments and Condos

They must be pretty high-end considering the new townhouses the same developer built at 27th & Campbell still haven't all sold for less than $300k.

Re: KCMO Downtown Streetcar

I'm not sure I really understand the logic here. If a developer comes in and makes a legitimate offer, I don't see how Commerce could think it's a better strategy to sit on the land in the hopes that maybe in 10 years the Royals might select their site for a new stadium if they decide to move and ev...

Re: Apple searching for second HQ--too!

Taking the KC economic border war nationwide!

First, they get insane incentives to locate the 2nd HQ. Then, every time they want to add jobs they'll play each HQ's city and state off of each other to see who will offer more incentives for the new jobs.

Re: The Gallerie - 27th & Gillham Apartments and Condos

27th has been reopened between Grand and Gillham. The road diet looks nice as it goes past one of the Hallmark surface parking lots, and some trees and grass should help even more. It would be nice if they could do something with the huge north facing blank brick wall that one is confronted with as...

Re: KC Metro Transportation Ideas

I oppose building rail transit in all of suburban Kansas City (excluding NKC). Until they are interested in dense land use, it's all the expense, none of the benefits.

Has there been a more complete transformation of a corridor in KC in such a short period of time (assuming all of these projects get built)?

Re: West 39th Street Apartments

I've seen more recent plans of the 39th St building and it is much better. One driveway and a larger lobby that opens to the sidewalk. Still could be improved but way better than the original garbage they put out.

Re: OFFICIAL - Corrigan Building

I wouldn't think a 4th or 5th story view from Corrigan looking west would be all that great. Looking NW, sure, but there's probably enough space between the two buildings that that's not covered anyway and if it is, they could keep it shorter on the north portion of the building and build taller on ...

Re: Phase 2 streetcar to UMKC

Someone needs to tell me I'm wrong because, after reading Q1 about 20 times, I don't think it actually does anything but prevent a city-led expansion effort. Shall the City of Kansas City prohibit any and all City officers, agents and employees from causing the planning for, construction, preparatio...

Ah, so Chuck literally calling them 'stupid' wasn't over-reacting, but supporting them with a tone of humor is. Got it. There are many streets downtown this can work, certain blocks. But yes, there are some streets that shouldn't have them. Dude, they're all right next to a car sewer in every pictu...
