Re: Plaza move-ins (ongoing)

Went to the Levi's Outlet at Legend's this past weekend, and learned that a Levi's store will be opened on the Plaza next year. The sales associate I spoke with said they've signed the lease already so it will be happening, but corporate is still deciding what all services it will have in house-stuf...

Re: Next Mayor 2019

I saw on Twitter the Mayor brought his utility bill because his driver's license had recently expired and he hadn't renewed it yet. This whole thing is being overblown and was simply a minor error on the part of volunteer poll-workers. Maybe Missouri just needs better training/vetting of poll-workers?

Re: KC Bike share

The drop app usability is almost unbearable. It takes entirely too long to check out and in a bike or scooter. It's crazy fast at scanning the qr code though. A new (fully native) version is coming soon. I've seen a preview and it's a big improvement, completely rewritten. Any info on when will thi...

Re: UMKC: Oak Street West Development

With the streetcar coming soon, UMKC is developing a new campus master plan that will be officially rolled out this fall. The first project to be announced is the demolition of "Oak Place Apartments" and a small retail/parking strip. The apartments didn't front the adjacent trail or new s...

Re: Shoal Creek Valley Neighborhood Plan

Speaking of neighborhoods with weird paths in/out, this hidden thing off of Staley Rd: It's barely evident anyone lives there from (what I perceive to be) the main entrance (Cypress) I wonder if in the future that is supposed to be the back entrance if Shoal Creek is built out to the north. Anyways...

Re: OFFICIAL - Flashcube (720 Main)

The one room they showed was interesting. 2 bedrooms but 1 bath. Also kitchen & living room seemed small. I would think they would have been better off making that a 1br and rework the space. Also anyone who wants 2 br most likely wants 2 baths. I call 2 bedroom/1 bath apartments "roommate...

Re: Renovations of apartment buildings along Armour Blvd.

When I rode on the MAX past this building yesterday there was a large bonfire burning in front of the building right next to the sidewalk. A few (very sketchy/unprofessional looking) workers were standing next to it and their rundown pickup truck they had driven up onto the curb; I'm assuming these ...

The extension track is marked in the parcel viewer if you haven't looked in a while I looked on the Kansas City Parcel Viewer and could not find what you're referring to. Where is this on there or are you referring to something else? Zoom into Main Street next to Union Station. You should see solid...

Re: Status and future of the River Market area??

Arnold, the group doing the green development down the street proposed something larger - 212 apartments (40% affordable), 75K office space and 612 parking spaces with 90+ available for the public during the day. Seems like a much better, green option with more unit, more parking, more office - wou...

Time to crack down and raise some serious cash for the city. I saw on their website that KCPD currently has multiple openings for Parking Control Officers, and the Chief is requesting funds to hire even more next year. So if anyone wants to suit up and get out there to crack down, then now's your c...

Re: Companies moving downtown

Word is that W-R will go in at 14th & Baltimore, Southwest corner. I think it is one of the old convention hotel sites, they would demo the low rise building there. Height is 17 stories. That was one of the three locations that brokers speculated on a couple weeks ago for a $90M project. The ot...

I'm visiting their pre-leasing office on Thursday to see what they'll have available for next summer, so I'll see what can be found out. Glad to hear about a "City Club 2" also! Hopefully it'll come together and have more affordable options because the leasing agent I reached out to said ...

Furthermore, I can't whitelist Drop because my bank does not allow whitelisting of individual groups/companies. This makes the Drop app functionally useless to me. They use Stripe for payment processing. Stripe is an American company. I find it curious that your bank refuses to whitelist a company ...

Also, won't the "street facing" component of this parcel be the hotel abutting the Grand viaduct (or whatever that road is called right there)? So there is still opportunity for the interaction with the public street to look nice. Unfortunately, from some site plans I've seen of the hotel...
