Chick-Fil-A in Liberty Triangle

I was out running errands and finally saw a coming soon sign on the new construction on the NW corner of 152 and Conistor (right in front of Lowes). The small restaurant space is going to be a Chick-Fil-A. I know that permits had been filed for a Chick-Fil-A right outside of Zona Rosa a couple of ye...

Re: P&L District: 14th & Main Site Proposal

Just wanted to let everyone know that Peachtree is now open.  Went there this afternoon with the wife for lunch.  Nice interior, looks like it'll provide some great views at night.  Food was great as always and service was better than the Lees Summit location.  Around noon there were probably 5 tabl...

Re: OFFICIAL: Zona Rosa (tenants & phase II)

Did some searching on KIVA this morning and found some more permits for Zona Rosa
  • Chicos
    Coldwater Creek
Noodles & Co (I think this is going in the former Rib Crib location)
Chick-Fil-A (on Barry Rd near ZR)
Looks like the migration from Boardwalk is beginning....

Re: OFFICIAL: Zona Rosa (tenants & phase II)

Dropped by last night to see a comedy show - great show (and Chris Porter stopped by and did a 20 min set) and noticed that the Majestic movie theaters are no more.  We asked the guy taking tickets at the comedy club and he said they weren't doing the business.  It doesn't surprise me, I very rarely...

Re: New Coaster coming to WOF

Rumors are pointing to a flat ride (like a giant frisbee or swing) for WOF next year, a new slide for OOF and a new wooden coaster for WOF for 2009.  I would suspect that WOF will receive a coaster at some point in 2008 or 2009 based upon prior trends.

Re: New Coaster coming to WOF

Very loosely related but it appears as if a Hampton Inn is going in across 435 from WOF.

Re: NBA Basketball Blasphemy

I think the Sprint Center easily puts these arenas to shame.  I like the KC Hornets :-)  Just a small correction.  The Delta Center in Utah is now Energy Solutions Arena (Delta had to relinquish their naming rights as a part of the bankruptcy).

Re: Liberty High School #2 update...

BTW kinda off topic but are those apartments being built between Shoal Creek Elementary and the Shoal Creek Animal Hospital?  The foundations and plumbing look like it and I hate to say it but we're talking several hundred units. Carrington Place Apartments.  Looks like 26 Buildings with 270 total ...

ESPN2HD on Time Warner

I was watching the Bulls Pistons game this evening (dont even mention my Bulls) and noticed that I now get ESPN2HD.  I live up north but I'd assume its available across the city.  I dont even see it on Time Warner's website.

It looks like Skybus will actually be launching May 22.  They received their FAA certification today.  It will be interesting to see their business model in action.

A new update from the Star.  Nothing that really hasn't been mentioned here... Opening in 2010-2011 school year, will be built in phases.  The article includes a high-level floor plan.

Based on the corner entrance to the building it looks like an Aldi.  I assume the pennys and circuit city will be at the second entrance.
