Re: Politics

It could also be a case of local police making arrests, but the county prosecutor deciding not to prosecute. Then we'd have to see if the state attorney general would intervene.

Re: OFFICIAL - Artistry KC (19th and Oak)

It seems that I have seen an old photo somewhere showing that there used to be a streetcar yard north of 20th street between Cherry and Oak. South of 20th Street was a rail spur yard for Union Station. I think the building The Abbott event space is in might have been a streetcar maintenance facility...

Yes, the solution is try to improve the program. Don't just shut it down, and ignore the affordable housing problem. I think you will see more small businesses using crowdfunding methods. It's hard for new, small businesses to get loans to startup. They often have a great idea. If you are a minority, it's often impossible to get loans with fair interest rates, or even get approved. That is what KIVA is all about. ...

I worry about how these laws will backfire. Young people will leave the state. Companies will decide not to locate here. Certain groups will not have conventions in the state. Tourists won't vacation here. Etc. etc. etc.

If I were a woman with a college degree, I would probably leave.
