Re: Bannister Mall/Cerner

but how many Cerner employees without kids will be living in a tiny 3 bedroom no basement rental ranch house in Ruskin Heights next to a section 8 rental that changes occupants and owners frequently? they will never even pass through that area on the way to Lees Summit or Johnson County, if they bu...

Re: Bannister Mall/Cerner

I think that area east of Raytown doesn't have enough infrastructure. Noland Road, E.75th, E. 87th, Westridge/Harrison, Norfleet, Rickey Rd., Phelps Rd., Rhinehart Rd., Military Rd., Brickyard Rd., and Little Blue Road all need to be widened. Several of the main numbered artery streets need to be co...

Re: Bannister Mall/Cerner

most of the houses in Raytown and Center SDs are older, and while they might have full accreditation they don't have the reputation of Blue Valley or Lees Summit SDs, but the highest performing districts are usually the most affluent Just being pedantic here, but the area of KCMO south of Longview ...

Re: Bannister Mall/Cerner

There is also plenty of land to develop for new housing around those neighborhoods. There is also plenty of KCMO ...

Re: AT&T Building Renovation, 8th Street and Locust

It could be they didn't want to spend the money for upgrading the systems and renovating the building. They have a fairly large campus at 63rd and Euclid.

Although Somera isn't ready to reveal specifics, it does plan to upgrade the 30-story, 663,656-square-foot office tower, spokeswoman Hope Wheeler told the Kansas City Business Journal. Located at 1100 Main St., City Center Square includes tenants such as the Kansas City Business Journal, Alight Ana...

Re: North Plaza Hotel- 46th and Broadway

The neighbors with views had years before to form a corporation, buy the air rights and restrict height. They didn't. The City needs to ignore this "right-to-their-view" crowd in the approval process. I'm assuming some who oppose it are Parkway Tower people. No one stopped their 13-story tower when ...

Re: Status and future of the River Market area??

I made the same argument at the time. The reason was the need for big underground garages on the north blocks. The President Hotel wasn't owned by the City's Land Clearance for Redevelopment Authority. Ron Jury was already renovating the hotel by the time Cordish started demolitions, and the City ha...
