Re: Politics

The idea the present administration has with shutting down, or severely limiting, immigration is simply madness. Most Americans are barely reproducing at a rate to replace the existing population of workers. The largest generation in history is either already retired and approaching retirement. When...

I also noticed there was a big sign across the street to the west advertising the surface parking lot for sale. It's 205 W. 9th on the parcel viewer.

It's clearly delayed. Topping out should have taken 3-4 months total for a building that size.

We were in a drought for most of the summer so rain can't be an excuse.
Update: A lot of progress in the past week.

Re: Hyperloop between KC and STL

I'm onboard for anything that can take me between KC and StL in 30 minutes for less than the cost of driving. I'd go twice a year just to walk around looking at old buildings.

How Kansas City got its' name

Why isn’t Kansas City named for the state in which it is located? We answer your KCQ ... With a town company formed, the group turned to the task of naming their prospective city. In her seminal 1908 work, Kansas City, Missouri: Its History and Its People, librarian and historian Carrie Westlake Wh...

Keep in mind that most people who are registered Democrats in our country are still establishment Democrats. Don't overestimate the population of progressive Democrats. They tend to congregate in a few coastal states that are already safe Democratic strongholds in the electoral college. What elects ...

Re: Plaza move-ins (ongoing)

Wonder if anyone stated the fact that this area is next to a bunch of restaurants and like 4 blocks from the Plaza so there would really be no need to use a car to get around. Also I think people visiting would more than likely use uber or lyft to get around, so there is no need to get lost and roa...

What is exciting is that three major intersections along Troost (27th, Linwood, Armour) are getting major new construction retail/residential projects.

https://i.imgur.com/W5NSiVm.jpg I can't believe they are still designing retail buildings in projects like this without putting at least two floors of apartments on top of the buildings. I will give them credit for putting some apartments on the edge of the project. Still, have developers and urban...
