Re: KC in TV and Movies

I recently watched the movie "4 Brothers".  I know its set in detroit, but scenes from around the city definitely gave me a nostalgic feel for KC. It was strange how similar it seemed to areas of KC(and maybe even a little sad).  Just thought I'd throw this out there after reading how a f...

Re: NHL OR NBA, let the message board decide!!

From ESPN, #9. Memphis Grizzlies, NBA Since its inception in Vancouver, the Grizzlies franchise has been troubled. In speculation about which teams might move to Las Vegas, Seattle, Anaheim, San Jose or Kansas City, the Grizzlies often are named. Team owner Michael Heisley has tried in vain to sell ...

The Royals won and the Indians lost.  We are now one game over Cleveland.

Re: GO ROYALS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Forgot to mention KC was almost named Rabbitville and Possum Trot, before the name "Town of Kansas" came to fruition, which was named after the Kansa Indian Tribe.

Just another fun fact learned from tonight's presentation.

34,588 was the turnout of tonight's game.  Clearly the best fireworks display I had ever seen.  All replete with a prideful presentation of a mini-documentary of the history of the Town of Kansas and how it became the city it is today, on the huge Daktronics board in high-def. Wonderful display of K...

No shit, I was just there on Tuesday.  Head a steak omelette in Bricktown at the IHOP across from AT&T Field.

There were tons of news reporters and police had Sheridan Street blocked off for a while. What happened?

Re: I-70

They've been working on making US 36 four lanes from Macon to Hannibal/Quincy, constructed bypasses around the towns of Clarence, Shelbina and Monroe City.  Took it to I-72 to Springfield, then on the Chicago about a couple months ago. This route saves about 50 or so miles as opposed to taking 70/55...

Since the stadium will be in St. Pete's, will the team be called the St. Petersburg Devil Rays or will it stay as Tampa Bay?

I think the Gulf Bay Rays has a certain ring to it, IMO.

Re: KC possible site for MillerCoors headquarters

Flying in from Sky Harbor (or really anywhere), I am struck by the small town feel of KCI.  Added to the location out away from the city, I always cringe at what newcomers must think about our city.  Sky Harbor is not that bad.  depending on the terminal, you can still be dropped off or picked up r...

The Pats are vulnerable right now.  The Giants have nothing to lose and they will be playing like it.  It's all just a matter of physics.

Re: Super Bowl XLII

No way!!  The last time they played at Giants Stadium, it was kinda close. NY were one out of three teams that actually gave the Pats a run for their money. IMO, New York has the blueprint on how to defeat New England.  The Giants will definately put immense pressure on Brady, as New York defense is...
