Re: GO CHIEFS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If there was a good LEO presense, I was thinking when the argument started they would be on alert.

Re: GO CHIEFS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was at the SW corner of Pershing and Grand during the parade. Second row. We went back to our Santa Fe Place condo to see the Ceremory. I did notice, much like past Irish parade when they were downtown the larger police presense was where the most players and interaction would take place. I wonder...

Re: OFFICIAL - New KCI Terminal
I thought 6 minutes was great. It probably would have been less if the traffic lanes were clear. I'm really happy for Kansas City that we finally have such a great airport. I know there will be a few bugs here and there but overall man, what an improvement.

Re: OFFICIAL - New KCI Terminal
Arrived at our great new airport 11:59pm last week. I was really surprised to see two lanes of traffic blocked by people waiting to pick up other people arriving. I had thought they had this under control. Did not see any security people trying to get drivers to move. My driver was waiting in the ce...

Re: OFFICIAL - Main Street Streetcar Extension
Love the new sidewalk. My wife and I used it to walk to Union Station last week. We wanted one there for a long time, but it took the streetcar installation to get it done. Never understood why Main was 5 lanes wide in this area. The street racers and motorcycles loved it over night, that's for sure.

I've asked for that for years, glad it's finally going to happen. I guess by 2025 or so.

Yes, was there. Lots of Cowboy fans but they stayed fairly quiet thankfully. I'm hoping the offense can get it together because the defense is really playing great!

Re: Do you have or plan to get Google Fiber?
So what's the best streaming service to get local stations plus everything else. I've got chromecast on a couple of tv's but I hate having to sign in to ESPN and NFL network everytime I watch. At least on fiber TV I don't have to worry about that.

Re: Crown Center: urban disaster, shining star, or in-between
I would think so, It would help with the HOA dues as far as the common areas like the pool and garden. I think the dues are on the high side. Right now they are a little over 50 cents a sq.ft. every month.

Re: Crown Center: urban disaster, shining star, or in-between
Hallmark was going to convert our clubhouse by the pool to two residences plus build a 17 story tower in 2008. But the financial collapse hit and it never happened. I haven't heard any talk about it since. They did sell the parking lots south of the Hallmark complex where Gallerie has several hundre...

Re: Crown Center: urban disaster, shining star, or in-between
Burnt End BBQ occupies the other part of Milano and they are doing fairly well. It's priced right and easy in and out. It's part of the PB&J family and they also operate the Starbucks. The Halls pop up store will reopen Jan.2nd on the 3rd floor of the old Halls building. It's really going to see...

Just heard from 2 residents there, one elevator has been down but is now repaired, and there is a 1.2 million dollar refurbish project on the books.

Re: Crown Center: urban disaster, shining star, or in-between
They still have Copaken but they are not happy with them. Our board kept Curry, which is now First Service. The HOA Board of each building selects the management company not Crown Center. Crown Center does own and manage the parking garage that we share. Haven't really heard about the elevators bein...

Looks like the Crayola Cafe is history and La Fuente mexican restaurant is moving in. They are looking to open before June 2021. Haven't been there but hoping it's good. Tried to get Los Tules in there but he had too many other things going on.

Re: Crown Center: urban disaster, shining star, or in-between
And already a coworker is complaining about the development bringing too much traffic and wondering how hard it will be getting in/out of that parking garage. SMH. Although I'm retired from Hallmark, they brought me back for a couple of months to work on a project. I work in the RIC Center that fro...

Re: Plaza move-ins (ongoing)
Went to the soft opening at Republica last night. It's another Bread and Butter Concept place focusing on tapas. Hopefully it will do well. It's not going to be my place, a little too loud for me but I can seeing it being very popular. The price points seem good and the appetizers we had were tasty....

Re: Uber/Lyft ride-sharing in Kansas City
I'm so glad this happened. Last time I arrived in KC, the woman on the one phone you have to use to order a cab was extremely rude when I asked her to repeat the cab number. They can do that when they have a monopoly.

Re: Plaza move-ins (ongoing)
This is a Plaza move out, Morton's grill is closed as of this morning. Too bad. It's a great location but huge corporations just can't do restaurants very well. It was so much better when McComicks & Schmicks were the owners before selling out to Landrys.

Re: Union Station
The American Ninja Warrior stage is being set up in the front parking lot of Union Station. It should be a lot of fun. If anyone is interested in tickets here is the link. I think it will be active from now until the 20th. At least that is how long Pershing will be closed. http://on-camera-audiences...
