Re: Sprint loses another million customers

I would hate to see Sprint go under to...but SOJOCO going under?  Sure!  I'd love for the affluence to move back northeast into KCMO (not leave all together).  I'm sure it will end up happening sometime in the next 50 years As much as everyone here hates Johnson County purley on the basis that is f...

Re: Sprint loses another million customers

I honestly don't see why people rag on Sprint so much. True, I've only had it for about two or three weeks, but I like it alot. Sprint is the largest company in KC, and if it were to go under, thousands of people in the metro would lose their jobs and our economy would cripple. Not to mention all th...

Re: St. Louis Saturday in September (pics)

I appreciate your passion and biased opinions, but your hatred seems to drown out your point-KC is better? Possibly you aren't having a very good time in STL because you are a toolbag and people dont like you. To the moderators I live here in STL and frequent your KCrag site often to check out on K...

Re: St. Louis Saturday in September (pics)

St Louis seems well respected on this board, it's one of the only places that actually knows more about StL than the Landing, Arch and Union Station. I like StL slightly better than KC.  If I were not living in KC, I would probably choose StL over KC.  That's not a slam on KC.  StL is just more of ...

Re: Sprint loses another million customers

I'm living in St. Louis temporarly, and I used to have AT&T (I've also been with Verizon and T-Mobile back in KC and hated them both); I recently had it with their 300 dollar phone bills that came from mysterious overuse on my part and 1 bar of service or less in DOWNTOWN SAINT LOUIS, so I switc...

Has the momentum stopped... and reversed?

It seems, that with the exception of the P&L all the promise of developments that we were seeing two years ago have been cancelled. The lame-duck P&L condos, the Broadway, the closing of the Mango Room and Fred P. Otts and other local businesses downtown have all made it seem like downtown i...

RE: Shops in P&L

Does anyone know of any of these promised botiques that were supposed to be built in KC-- the apple store/innovation store-- where did all these places go and when are they going to be announced/opened? Any info on shops in the P&L at all? Does anyone have any idea when they are going to be done...

Re: P&L district attitude rant

I think the P&L is a HUGE success. Right now, I am in college at SLU in downtown St. Louis. About two months ago since I have left, I stayed downtown. It was amazing. EVerywhere there were people on a Saturday night. Whether they were from surburban KC or from downtown, they were everywhere. The...

Re: P+L Tenant Rumors

You know, in the 1930's, when our metro area only had about a million people, there were over 400 nightclubs and burlesuqe houses in the same area that you are talking about (our urban corridor) that now has less than 200. I strongly doubt that after a 70 years and an increase of 1.2 million people ...

Re: New St. Louis Skyline Pic!

yeah STL doesn't have much of a skyline, but the downtown region is large and dense.  you can be like 30 blocks west of downtown and it still feels very urban, like a more dense crossroads.  there are a lot of awesome, dense, urban cities that have lackluster skylines - boston, baltimore, portland,...

I'm not in the business of nit-picking people's comments.  And although I admire your enthusiasm and dedication to the city, I'm not sure where you are getting 2.2 mil for our metro population.  I always heard it was 1.9.  The most generous number I could find was 2 mil, here: http://www.kcmo.org/k...

Yeah, but that's not what I mean. That "tenant list" lacks all of the shops with the exception of about three.

Re: P&L District: 13th & Baltimore site proposal

First off, I have seen an apple store somewhere (I forgot though- i think mabye somwhere in California) with the apple logo to the side. Second, these arguments that we are too small to have two apple stores are rediculous. I am so sick and tired of people saying that KC is too small for this and to...

Shops in P&L?

I was wondering here. It's January 08 (three months from the opening), and there have only been about three shops announced. A JOS A Bank, A sprint store, and that nail polish place (even though I wouldn't really consider it a shop). Is this going to be a nightclub and restaurant district with a few...

Re: New St. Louis Skyline Pic!

St. Louis, for a city of 2.8 million people, has a VERY disapointing skyline. I just went there a month ago, and as I approached it was four tall buildings and an arch. And by tall buildings, they weren't very tall. KC has a much better (and taller) skyline, and it has 2.2 million people in it's met...

Re: Clayton, Missouri Skyline

I recently went to Saint Louis. It has been about 8 years since I last went. It was a rainy day. While I was driving on the highway, I saw all of these tall buildings, and I thought to myself, that this must be their downtown. Then I saw the city limit sign and a mall and realized it was Clayton. Th...

Re: Plaza move-ins (ongoing)

interesting movement there...nice to see local tenants on the plaza. I disagree. I see the future of the plaza, and it seems to me it is moving to the direction of becomming even more upscale. True, it has alot of upscale tenants already, but I hope to see even better ones in the future-- ones that...

KC Shopping

We have the plaza yeah, but we need some more upscale shops-- and by upscale-- i mean VERY upscale. Why doesn't KC have a NM, Sacks, Chanelle, Gucci, or Luis Vatton (St. Louis does). Does anyone know of any plans to get some of those VERY upscale shops?

Re: Will the Northland be the new Johnson County?

You meet or exceed the dictionary definition of idiot. I would never in a 1000 years say I was from Missouri, even though I had the misfortune to be born there. Actually that's very wrong. Many people from JoCo say they are from KC, and when someone is like you're from KANSAS they are like "NO...

Re: Will the Northland be the new Johnson County?

no, missouri should take what's their's and annex wyandotte, johnson, leavonworth and miami counties! NO!!! Not the dot! With the exception of village west, Kansas can KEEP IT. The rest let's take! Seriously, JoCo exists BECAUSE of KCMO. It wasn't like the St. Louis MSA where all the towns just gre...
