Re: Two Light - 14th & Grand

Everything about this looks great but am I the only one thinks that the "TWO LIGHT", with the bolded "TWO" looks odd? Especially since the One Light sign behind it isn't matching.

Olathe Best Buy Closing

I guess there was an issue with the landowner and the new lease that was to be signed to keep Best Buy there. Currently scheduled to close 10/27/17

Re: Sears closing

Curious as to what will happen to the building with the new development going in there. I wouldn't be surprised if it somehow gets swallowed up by the developer.

The fact that they're turning them into dust is making the area have a very...distinct smell.

I said the same thing when I discovered it a few weeks ago. It's in the absolute funkiest spot and behind everything.

There used to be an entertainment center for inflatables there called Leaping Lizards, that may be who you are referring to.

Zonkers doesn't exist anymore and won't for the forseeable future. They aren't moving anywhere.

Re: Heritage Sqaure - 151st/Mur-Len

Used to be a manager at Zonkers here. They're never reopening. Sold everything off about a year ago and recently closed their other location at Oak Park Mall. There WAS a lease in place and preliminary blueprints drawn up but the entire thing was a mess from the get-go. Price Chopper had 1 year left...

They're going with LED bulbs, which have on average, a 20 year life span. The crowdfunding link doesn't specify, but I do remember reading that they built money in for maintenance. EDIT: Official response from the organizer - Maintenance on LEDs is surprisingly low - they're extremely durable. KCTV ...

Crowdfunding has begun. Should also note that what you see now is only 120 lights out of 5400. I can't imagine what the entire thing will look like when it's done. I could see the small section that they have up now from the Zona Rosa area.

Can confirm that it's closing from a few tenants that I work with in there. They let them all know this morning. It's been a long time coming but the place is a huge liability right now. Leaky roofs, black mold (from the leaky roofs), raw electrical out, broken stalls in the bathrooms, bunched up ca...

Re: IKEA may be coming to Merriam Village

I went to the Friends & Family event on Saturday and had the best IKEA experience of my life - no crowds and not even one person in front of me at the checkout...don't think I'll ever see that again ever. The store was great, but the parking was surprisingly convenient with two parking garages ...

There won't be a problem with finding this store from I-35 ..or I-70,....or I-80,.....or the moon. As if the building ain't a big enough "sign". From the north it's super visible. From the south not as much. You have to be on top of it before you notice it It was the first thing I saw com...

Re: Dismantling of Great Mall (ongoing)

I think Great Mall is too far away to bring in Hispanics from KCK and Independence Ave. I think Metro North, or Indian Springs would be better. This company has a Hispanic Mall in Oklahoma City called Plaza Mayor, so I think something like this is possible very soon. There are a ton of ESL Hispanic...
