Apologies. Yes, I mistook the capped 670 for that old parking lot.

Looks fine to me. Wish they weren't preserving the surface parking behind it.

Looks cool. Reminds me of the southern riverfront in Portland though with less density and a little less height.

I don't think the HQ would be moved necessarily because it'd be closer to Japan but rather for the purposes of attracting talent.

Re: Sprint sale rumors again

Interesting strategy there. I knew Son would try to replicate his extremely aggressive growth and acquisition model from Japan, so we'll see if it gets through regulators.

If it does go through, I agree -- I think the HQ will move to the West Coast (Cali or Seattle).

Re: Urbanism, architecture, transit, etc.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F6jFnOnjzrk When you combine a street and a road, you get a STROAD, one of the most dangerous and unproductive human environments. To get more for our transportation dollar, America needs an active policy of converting STROADs to productive streets or high capacity roa...

Re: What are your five big things for Kansas City?

I think you guys have covered the most important points. The only thing I'd add is just collaboration/policies/incentives/etc. that ensure KC continues to grow as a tech center. I think that will be crucial to the region's future economic base.

Sounds like a good idea. I think some custom graphics and whatnot would be nice. If I could make a suggestion, maybe you guys could look for a responsive theme to fix the tablet/mobile issues, something like this or this . Those are just the first two I found with a Google search. I know these types...

As some have argued, a man is merely the sum of his experiences. For many people who have grown up in the country, city life is never quite a satisfying experience and is even sometimes revolting. It doesn't make them dumb rednecks.

Re: Sprint sale rumors again

Masayoshi Son seems to be an incredibly intelligent man, and he knows the US well having lived and studied here for 8 years. I am interested to see how this acquisition -- the largest foreign acquisition ever for a Japanese company -- will play out. It could be a very interesting deal.
